Privacy Policy
The Notepad is a copy and content writing agency run by me, Adrian Jackson.
Your Privacy
As a one-man copywriting band, I always work with my clients directly and personally. Their trust in me matters and as a visitor to my website I want you to feel confident in me too.
You and your business’s copy and content are what’s important, so you’ll never need to worry about the Notepad selling, renting or trading email lists with other companies and businesses for marketing purposes. That’s simply not for me.
Sometimes, however, I’ll need to collect and use your data to help me provide you with a quote or to complete your project. This Privacy Policy explains how I’ll do that and the ways in which I’ll keep your data safe.
The data I collect
When you get in touch with me directly or through the website’s contact form, I’ll need your name, email address and ideally your phone number to keep the conversation going.
How I use your data
If you’d like to go ahead and work with me, then I’ll use your details to keep in touch and for my records.
If you agree, I may send you an email or give you a call from time to time to see if I can be of help with your future projects. You can ask me to stop at any time by replying to my email.
How I keep your data safe
To keep your data secure and to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, I’ve put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard the information the Notepad collects. The cloud-based software I use to help me manage records is secure and password protected.
If we work together on a project, I’ll need to keep your details on file for 6 years for tax purposes as the Notepad is a limited company.
Accessing your personal data
You can access, amend or delete the personal data that the Notepad holds on you. Simply email me at adrian@thenotepad.co.uk
Analytics and cookies
I use Google and Squarespace Analytics to monitor traffic to the Notepad website, to help me better understand what my website visitors’ needs are and to make improvements. This data is anonymous, aggregate statistics and does not tie a specific visit to a specific IP address.
The website also uses cookies to provide you with the best possible experience. These small text files contain information that are transferred to your computer’s hard disk by websites that you visit. They’re used to help with analysing site traffic patterns but they don’t contain personal information and aren’t shared or sold to anyone else. Most web browsers automatically accept cookies, but you can manage or delete them as you wish.
Links to other websites
The Notepad website includes links to other websites that I think may be of interest. I don’t have control over these websites so please be cautious and check their own privacy statements before providing them with your information.
Changes to this Privacy Policy
Should anything change, I’ll update the Privacy Policy on this page.
